The island of Gran Canaria, known as "the round island", is buried in the heart of the Canarian archipelago. It boasts of being blessed with the most moderate climate in the world, thanks to its southern geographical location, the benevolent influence of the trade winds and the gentle sea breeze. In the area in which Lago Taurito is situated, the ravines formed by ancient torrents, form narrow gorges looking out to sea. On the beds of the ancient streams the palm trees and the crops cover the ground with green. Lago Taurito is to be found in a natural protected enclave: the ravine terminates on a white sand beach, where we can find a unique marine fauna.
